Kate's Place

Kate's Place

Kate’s Place, Inc. is an established 501c3 approved, non-profit social program for developmentally delayed teens and young adults, 18 years of age and above. The program currently takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between the hours of 2:30-6:00 pm, with the possibility of expanding to more days in the future.

Most of our attendees have not built friendships in their local neighborhoods. They are not able to drive to a friend’s house, or hang out at the local malls like most teens and young adults are able to do today.

At Kate’s Place, they have the ability to build these special friendships and enjoy each others’ company without feeling like they are out of place.

Along with the socialization we provide healthy snack items, physical activities, special classes such as karate, music, and zumba, and periodic community outings. We have also begun a work program where the group works on different projects to help our local communities.

We are hoping you can become a part of our organization. Whether by donating, volunteering, or referring us to a family in need, we welcome your support.
